The paintings on this part of my website had their beginnings when my wife, Suzanne, and I served on an LDS Church mission in the restored pioneer town of Nauvoo, Illinois in 2013-14. While there, I did about 24 small oil paintings of Nauvoo and the surrounding area. After making more visits to Nauvoo, I have done additional paintings. Historic buildings, the Mississippi River, Illinois farmland and machinery, clouds, and sunsets are all of interest to me. It is a beautiful area for an artist to explore.
(In this photo, we are about to perform in an evening show put on by the senior missionaries.)
